Who Qualifies For Your Bursary Or University Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application system.
Applications are actually open and may shut on fifteen December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to fulfill the following criteria:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who comes from a home which has a combined gross household income that doesn't exceed R350 000 per annum.
• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined house profits would not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and want not submit any proof of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent citizens from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.
Applicants are reminded to deliver the right Identity Doc numbers, names, and surname, as reflected within their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are finding out or intend to research at a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study nsfas status in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
